What is a Garden Watering Wand?
A garden watering wand or rain wand is a specific type of watering tool with a specialized watering nozzle on a lengthened pipe, ranging anywhere form 12-inches to 30 or more inches.
The watering wand and nozzle can deliver water to plants in a gentle pattern to those hard to reach plants making it a great tool to use.
Some even extend or telescope to reach further or higher.
And Why You Should Use One
Here are three good reasons to use a watering or rain wand:
- It mimics natural rain on plants so they aren’t harshly watered for minimal stem or leaf damage.
- It has a slower and gentler flow of water, compared to other watering nozzles, so it lets water filter down into the soil without flooding and to minimize flooding or erosion.
- And, it can be used to water plants that are hard to reach and far away or up higher that a traditional watering hand nozzle couldn’t reach.
