3 Easy Herbs To Grow:

  1. Mint – Janice termed this plant the “Swiss Army Knife” of the plant world. It can be used in many different selfcare products and treatments, and even in teas and aroma therapy.
    • Grows in many different climates
    • Likes full sun, but will tolerate partial shade
    • Can tolerate drought conditions
    • Spreads easily so contain in a pot or some type of container, even out in your garden so it doesn’t take over

    • Grows in more Mediterranean-type of climates, but can tolerate others
    • Loves full sun and to have very well drained soil. Does not like wet conditions and prefers to be dry most of the time
    • Thrives in drought conditions
    • Easy to control and care for
  3. Rosemary –  Known also for its aroma and fragrance, is very useful in infusions or oils, but also in many other treatments dry or fresh
    • Grows in different climates
    • Likes full sun, but can tolerate partial shade

    • Easy to control and care for

What’s the Story with Luffa Plants?

You might have already heard about Luffa plants. Yes, it is a real plant (a spongy gourd, actually) that you can grow to produce a crop of “luffa”.

It’s actually a tropical crop plant, in the Cucumber plant family, that produces gourds where young flowers and gourds being eaten, along with the vegetable being harvested, pealed, and used to help us bathe.  Watch the below video to see how to use a luffa.
